Her Sassy Closet

Day 3 of our Walt Disney World trip was Magic Kingdom. It is a very dreamy park just as the name suggests. We spent a lot of time around the castle taking photos - it's the signature symbol of Disney after all! I love how they have a large open space and pathway going up to the castle at the entrance. It really emphasize how beautiful and magical it looks. How lucky were we to get a photo with NO BODY in it! It really has the Happily-ever-after feel to it.

Everything in the park appears very classy from Cinderella's castle, to Belle's village, to Pirates of the Caribbean backdrops. It is made of the most classic creations of Walt Disney. We met many Disney Characters there including Cinderella and Ariel. I admire how they get into their characters!

I loved how there were many staff there walking around with a HUGE bunch of balloons for sale. It made the park seem so much more festive! And very "Up" (I love that movie)! I couldn't help but have to take a photo with the bunch. I felt like they could have lifted me up to the sky when I held onto them!

A sweet highlight of the day was our stop at the Tony's Town Square restaurant. It is the restaurant where Lady and the Tramp shared their first kiss! Of course we took the classic photo of the spaghetti kiss. I'll share with you on Instagram in the next couple days :) I had so much fun re-creating photos that resembled my childhood favorite Disney moments!

The Festival of Fantasy Parade of the park was also one of my favorites (I have way too many favorites on this trip!). We purchased the dining package and so we had VIP spots reserved for the parade for the best view! The many Disney princesses and Maleficent as a fire-breathing dragon - It was like walking down the memory lane of all my childhood favorites. The dragon was so worth the wait! It was very well-made and creative in its steampunk details. Even my engineer hubbie was impressed *giggles*.

For this day, I had a switch up of my outfit - it was not planned! The tees we wore were purchased from the Disney Gift Shop the day before. Aren't they the cutest couple shirts? I thought they were perfect to wear to the most magical park of all. I paired it with a button-down denim skirt. It brings fun to the outfit with the button detail and keeps it youthful.  For more walking, I continued with my sneakers to keep my feet happy. The neutral color makes it very versatile and easy to match with different outfits. And of course I had to wear the Minnie Mouse headband again!

What do you think of my outfit and experience? Let me know in the comments down below! Next up, Day 4, Universal Orlando!

On Day 2 of our Walt Disney World trip, we went to Animal Kingdom. The park as a tribal sort of theme to it. It's like walking through a mini Africa. The park is like a giant zoo with many animals to see. They even have a Safari ride that took us to a more open area to see the animals in their more natural habitat. It was a lot of fun! Of course we met Pocahontas there as she is so close to nature and listens to the wind <3 p="">

The day was super hot that day we had to stop under the shade for a while. Our lunch was from Harambe Market. The food was very interesting as it was African. I've never really had African food before and I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't too hungry because of the heat, so I only had a mango pie. It was a nice sweet cooling treat that lasted me for a while. It was pretty crowded but we managed to find a table under a sun umbrella. Good thing because 20 mins later the sky suddenly turned dark and poured for about an hour. According to the locals, it's very common in Orlando to have sudden giant downpours. I'll keep that in mind for our next visit!

One of the best touch of the day was the Festival of the Lion King was a very cool show - partially because Lion King is one of my childhood favs! It was a live musical show that involves giant puppets. I'm not sure how mechanical the puppets are but this whole Disney World trip so far had me impressed on how smooth, realistic and natural they make the puppets move nowadays. The many dancers and visual effects made the whole show came alive and very enjoyable to watch.

We had dinner at the Tusker House Restaurant. It is a one of a kind family buffet-style restaurant. The food was alright but we got to meet Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy there as they roam around the restaurant table to table for visitors to take photos. I thought that was very thoughtful. There is usually big lineups to meet the characters but at this restaurant they come to you! Saved us time while we filled ourselves up!

The park had extended hours for the new section of the park, Pandora - The World of Avatar for the Disney Resort Hotel Guests because of its popularity, so we left it to the end after the Rivers of Light show. It was an interesting and memorable experience walking though this section of the park after dark. It was lighted up with lamps that shaped like plants from out of this world. There was also sound effects in the background that made it feel like we were really walking through the world of Avatar and in the nature. The rides were needless to say, very cool effects to ride on!

For this day, I chose to wear a comfy tee with grid print paired with denim shorts. Cotton tee and denim shorts are a classic combo that never fails! They are also comfortable and easy to move around in. Perfect for day-long wear. I also thought it is carried as a carefree, natural vibe look that matched the park theme well. With the full day of walking ahead, I opted for sneakers with good sole support. I was glad for the choice! My feet were tired but at least weren't screaming at the end of the day. I had my gold chain necklace with emerald stones as an added touch and glam along with the must-have Minnie Mouse ears headband to complete my outfit. I wore a cute bracelet I bought from the Disney Gift Shop the day before instead of the bangles I brought. It is made up of colorful beads in the shape of Mickey Mouse heads. It was, I thought, fits with the outfit well and of course, very Disney! Unfortunately I couldn't find it at the online Disney Store or Shop Disney Park website :( Maybe it is so popular it is sold out online!

How do you dress for nature to go around in parks like the Animal Kingdom? Let me know in the comments down below! Next, Day 3 - the most magical park of all times, Magic Kingdom!

Finally after a few days of break from blogging, I'm back! Sorry for the delay! I hope everyone's week was as good as mine! As some of you know, I had a very magical trip at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL.

I had to make a few changes to my outfit and accessories selections throughout the trip because of various reasons. This is exactly why, as I stated in my previous post, I like having tops and bottoms that can be interchangeable to match one another. I'll share with you my story in my blog post series.

Day one of the trip, we had an overnight flight to Orlando. Our original plan was to change at the airport and head straight to the park. We were told that the resort is able to send our luggage straight to our hotel room. What we didn't realize was that we didn't have our FastPass bands yet! We had to make a trip to the hotel reception to pick them up before going to the park. The extra time spent meaning no changing for us! We made sure we were dressed comfortably anyways. Planned outfit #1 down the drain. Flight outfit all the way it is!

A cotton tee and loose shorts is your best essential going on long travelling time. They are easy to move around in and keeps you comfortable all day. I chose a top with Disney Tsum Tsum prints to get into the spirit. Because of the busy prints, I made it a combo with a pair of more simple, solid-colored shorts to tone it down.

Not only when it suddenly rains and the night falls, it did also felt a little chilly going in and out of buildings where AC was blasting. I was glad I had my denim shirt with me as a little "jacket". When I wasn't wearing it, I had it wrapped around my waist to add depth and detail to my outfit.

I planned to wear my runners for the entire trip. Since we didn't get the chance to change, I kept my sandals on. My feet did got a little swollen at the end of the day from all the walking. Though with my sandals a bit loose to begin with, it turned out okay.

I didn't bother with accessories this day as we didn't get a chance to go into our luggage. The FastPass band was a cute touch to my outfit though!

Hollywood Studios was the first park we hit in Walt Disney World. As the name suggests, the park's theme is Hollywood. There were many backlot tours and rides based on movies. The show-based attractions were some of my favorites on the entire trip. TheTrooper march on the street was so cute to watch! I can't wait to go again when they are done with the construction for the Star Wars land!

How do you dress for your vacation? Have you been to Disney World? Share with me your experience in the comments below. Till next time!

As I'm writing this I'm in San Francisco waiting for my connecting flight to Orlando, Florida! Just before my trip, I decided to play with my nails. I recently came across a nail art artist, "Nana Nail Studio", recommended by a colleague. Nana works at a cute little boutique nail studio within Salon de Haru located in North Vancouver.

I decided to try it out. Since my travel designation is Walt Disney World, I went with a disney themed nail art. I found a design on Pinterest that is simple and cute yet not too childish. It incorporated a hint of nautical look to it to keep it fun and summery (my love for nautical doesn't end with just clothes!). The artist Nana was able to copy it very well. She added a bit of twist to it by using color-changing polish. It's such a sweet addition to the nails. I'm starting to really like the lighter color version! The experience with Nana was a very positive one and did I mention it's also very affordable? All this only costed me $45 for everything!

What do you think? Do you have a preference on how you like to be pampered for a vacation? Let me know in the comments below. Stay tune for more on my magical Disney trip!

As some of you who follow me on Facebook and Instagram may be aware, I am going to Disney World! I'm going to take this opportunity to share what I like to pack on a trip. When I travel, I try to be as minimal as can be. Here are some of the essentials I always bring with me:

1. Comfortable shoes
Travelling and walking go hand-in-hand. Have your feet pampered as much as you possibly can when you are working them hard the whole day! Choose footwear with good support, such as runners and sneakers, so that your feet wouldn't go screaming at the end of the day. I usually am more lenient on picking a pretty pair of flats as they are more elegant and suitable for both day and night. What can I say? I'm kind of a girly girl! Runners calls for a sporty relaxed vacation look which is also cute.

2. Versatile outfits
T-shirt dress is almost always in my suitcase when I travel. They are easy and comfortable to wear and yet stylish at the same time. Extra points!

Clumsy as me, I also like packing clothes that are interchangeable with one another. In case I end up dirtying say a top, I can mix and match the bottom with another top and look just as good. Cotton blend shirts and denim bottoms are my favs!

Depending on where I go, sometimes the temperature can be quite different as the sun sets. Unless I go somewhere cold enough to need a thicker jacket, I like to opt for a button-up shirt for warmth. Denim shirts are great at this because they matches everything!

3. Minimal accessories
Traveling by car is fine, but I am not a hat person when I fly. That's one more accessory I have to worry about. I keep my accessories small and clean. I also only bring one set that match all my outfits.

Who says hand-me-downs always sucks? I have this hand-me-down genuine leather backpack from my mom. I think it's super cute with all its color blocks - That's a statement on its own! I love travelling with a backpack to have my personal items with me all the time. It distributes the weight of my stuff evenly and is easier on my back as compared to crossbody bags.

4. Swimwear
Sometimes this isn't the first thing on people's minds when they travel. Many hotels have nice pools in- or outdoor for their guests and they are often empty because travellers would rather be out and about. Bring your swimsuit and good chance to have the pool all to yourself! Take a dip and enjoy :)

A New York-based lingerie company called Adore Me has very kindly shared with me a discount code for all you readers out there! Use the code "SWIMSET10" and get $10 off your purchase on their new swimwear collection! It's valid with VIP and PAYG orders. Have fun shopping! Am I evil? Haha.

Rather it is a staycation or flying to another country/city, enjoying the different surroundings and cultures often serves as an inspiration for me to better my life and appreciate what I already have. Summer is here. Are you going anywhere for a vacation? What are your travel essentials? Share with me in the comments below. Till next time!

For my upcoming posts, I will share with you my outfits going to Walt Disney World. Stay tuned! Follow me on Instagram for my Instastories during my trip!

Hola! How's everyone doing in such nice weather in Vancouver lately? I love hanging out with the famfam and enjoy nice walks under the wonderful blazing sun!

Recently there's a controversial photo circulating the internet - Men in Rompers. "RompHim" is a marketing campaign raised by a group of business school friends to launch a line of rompers for men. What do you think About it? We have seen celebrities like Sean Connery and Cam Newton rocking their rompers and looking fabulous. It is pretty fashion-forward and daring for men to dress in rompers as it can look fairly feminine. But hey! Suits weren't really a thing for women in the past. Now it's quite a norm for women to wear and rock them in all different cuts and styles. Who knows? Maybe it will make a hit?

Rompers and I have a love-hate relationship. They are very comfortable and super easy to style, but I have the complaint that is the same with all the women out there: the "I gotta undress the whole thing to go to the bathroom" thing. So I thought if I were to dress in one, it gotta be special and worth all the undressing with my bathroom trips! A romper with a cover-up skirt. The skirt gives it a maxi look with peekaboo shorts underneath. It is elegant with a hint of sexy. Here's what you should think of when styling rompers:

1. Layer it
Blazers, cardigans, etc. Layering is great to hide the broad shoulders and not-so-toned arms. Try layering your romper with a a biker jacket - denim or leather, to get the rock punk look. Too hot? Try a denim vest for an instant update! Throw on a fringed kimono cover-up for a cute feminine vibe.

2. Accessorize it
If you want to keep it simple and casual, a long necklace would do the trick. Try bold statement necklaces and bracelets for a more daring, eye-catching style. Big patterned romper calls for a matching statement and maybe a solid-color purse/clutch to balance out the busy-ness of the outfit.

3. Shape it
Rompers can go from work to play, day to night. Softer flowy fabrics are great for a beach day while structured ones are better for work for a more professional look. Many rompers are not meant to be fitted as they are designed to be loose and comfortable. Adding a cringe at the waist with a belt minimizes the bagginess of the romper to make it dressier and gives you more shape.

How do you style your rompers? Let me know in the comments below. Till next time!

After a long week of work, it's nice to spend some time with family and friends. I think it's very important for everyone to find a balance between work and friends and family. For your friends and family, you are a companion. Your mere presence can bring joy and lift their spirits. Sometimes that might just be what keeps them going; vice versa. Sometimes you need somebody to be there to feel cared for and loved. It's not worth it to be on your electronic devices constantly and missing out on the time spent with your loved ones. Especially the little ones. They aren't that little forever. They grow so fast *sigh* I still can't believe how small my son was almost two years ago compared to now! Take a moment to appreciate a tech-free surrounding. It's the simple things in life that gives the pleasure.

A picnic is a very great way to unwind. You get to enjoy the luxury of fresh air, scenery and the people. It helps you pull away from your busy work life and de-stress. This past weekend I had a picnic day with my friends and family. It was a very chill day and we had so much fun. I also had a chance to play with my friend's dog, Kenshin. He's the cutest thing ever (well close contender to my little peanut of course ❤)! My own two fur babies were a bit jealous when they found out played with a dog. We didn't think bringing two VERY curious cats out to the park was a good idea. It's very relaxing to sit under a tree in the shade and watch the youngsters play, or just people in general. Sometimes you see a lot when you just stop and watch what goes on around you. Not creepy at all. :P

The picnic was the perfect opportunity to pull out my new picnic wicker basket. Although the basket is secondhand, it was still BNWT! It was such a good cheap find! I find it stylish and it was actually very useful to store all the food and drinks we had. The built-in utensils were a hit as well. I felt like I didn't need much preparing at all. To match the vintage vibe,  i chose to wear a flowy circle skirt with a gingham print shirt tied in the front. They were super comfortable and easy to move around in. The cool candy colors made the outfit summery and lay back. The perfect outfit for a picnic on a warm Spring/Summer day!

What do you do to rewind and chill? Let me know in the comments below. Till next time! Have a great weekend everyone!
